Overview:

Silicon Image introduces the new SV2000™ storage appliance, powered by the SteelVine™ storagearchitecture. Targeted at the small and medium business (SMB) market, the SV2000 provides enhanced data protection, high-performance and a plug-and-play user experience providing faster time to storage. The SV2000 is a simple, affordable solution that transparently replicates data, eliminating a vulnerability that is too often overlooked or considered too expensive to solve.

The SV2000 provides up to two terabytes of disk storage within the industry's first implementation of the SteelVine™ architecture. The SteelVine architecture enables flexible configuration in presenting multiple virtual volumes with different properties, depending on user requirements. The SV2000 supports both 1.5 Gb/s and 3Gb/s Serial ATA transfer rates, and can aggregate commands to-and-from each drive for maximum performance.

An OEM/ODM configuration utility provides an easy way to set up the array to meet end user needs with unprecedented flexibility.
